Sequence & Motion
Sage first picture with the wind blowing the grass and ants is my favorite. He really got the stopped motion and a different point of view. They both feel like they can be on national geographic magazines. The grass and water is very settle. I like how sage made all the ants blurred, its showing how fast all the ants were scattering around, but yet managed to get that one ant in the center focused! His second picture with his coach doing a cupie is a great sequence picture of showing the beginning of the stunt and finishing off with perfection. His positioning of taking the picture was a great balance as well to get the full effect of the stunt. The third blurred and sequence picture compliments his second picture. When the guy is throwing the girl up in the air from the beginning position, shows how fast he is throwing her up. which leads to the corresponding picture finishing his fast throw to the top trick. Its like shooting off a rocket. Again i like the angle that is being used, because if it was right in front i dont think the blurred vision would have given the full effect of the picture.
Light
Light picture #1- I really like this photo because its kinda like showing this guy as a prized trophie. I like how the lights really compliment his body structure in four different angles. With the guy doing the handstand being dark really brings the picture together. Angle of the picture is awesome.
Light picture #2- The lava lamp is my favorite light picture of sages. The way he tilted the lava lamp to get the light coming from where the heat is to make the lava move was a great different point of view. It made the picture better than just having it placed in position. A great picture of light going from bright light to dark light.
Light picture #3- The night light on the wall make this picture seem very mysterious. The way the light reflected of the wall showing the bumpy patterns was great. I like how the positioning is off to the side and not directly in the middle. Great alt point of view. Kinda reminds me of having like ghost stories with your friends and you put the light in front of your face to make it scary.
Light picture #4- The picture of the lava lamp flowing through the vase, some might not of notice what it is at first. I like how he just focused on the lava and not the entire thing. It kinda reminds me of the under world though or like halloween. It also looks like it can be sculptured into an actual sculpture. The shape was well used as well.
Light Picture #5- The light with the bunny mask picture definitely gives me the creeps and like if its a serial killer from a movie. I dont like to look at it very long, but it still is a great picture and alt point of view. The light coming through the mask eyes
